Come and make a difference at Karbon as a Project Manager (New Business)   

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual to take up the role of Project Manager, New Business in our Development Delivery Team for the Yorkshire Region.  

Our Development Delivery Team, with the backing of a Strategic Partnership relationship with Homes England are responsible for securing land and delivering an ambitious programme of high quality, multi-tenure, new build homes across both rural and urban locations in the North of England. 

This role will help drive further growth in new homes across Yorkshire and our expanding geography helping to deliver high quality new affordable homes to the market.  

About the role 
Reporting to the Development Manager you be responsible for all aspects of pre-construction activity including partnership development, acquiring land and property to deliver land led development, acquiring homes under s.106 arrangements, securing design and planning approvals for multi-tenure developments, tendering projects and entering build contracts with construction partners and housebuilders. 

The role will require ongoing collaboration with colleagues, external consultants, and contractors.  Joining a dynamic team, you will be up for the challenge of working in an exciting environment, where you can make a real difference to customers lives, providing support to the new business team.  

This role will be instrumental in supporting Karbon’s commitments to Homes England as a Strategic Partner, working on a pipeline of projects of over £500m, helping to deliver up to 600 homes per year ranging from small rural to large multi-phased and multi tenure development utilising both traditional and modern methods of construction.  

Alongside accelerating Karbon’s growth ambition across Yorkshire the role may also require you to work across the North-East region when required.  

Our agile working approach means you’ll have the ability to manage your own time working across development sites with both office and home/remote working available, enabling you to have the flexibility of a working pattern that balances the business, team, customer and your needs. 

About you 

• You’ll be a dynamic team player and part of the Development Delivery Team,  enabling you to influence new strategies and shape policies to enable delivery.


• You’ll have a proven track record in delivering multiple complex grant and  non-grant-funded housing development projects, producing investment appraisals, managing cashflows, managing staff and securing contracts within timescales to deliver results while ensuring within new business decisions customer satisfaction in new homes product and service delivery are fully considered.

Project Manager, New Business – permanent role 

• Salary is £46,432 per annum plus a Karbon car payment of £2,260 per annum  


• Location: offices based in York  


• Regular travel will be required across Yorkshire and other Karbon operating regions.  


• 37 Hours per week with some homeworking available/flexible working 


• This post will require frequent site visits and trips Karbon’s other offices in Yorkshire and the North East
