We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual with fantastic trade skills to join our established team. Reporting to our Area Manager – Repairs, our Multi Trade Operative provide an integral service as part of our Property Care Team, you’ll deliver a high quality, efficient and effective damp and mould service to our customers.

What do our Multi Skilled Operatives do;

  • Perform a range of maintenance and repair tasks across multiple trades, including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general building maintenance.
  • Safety and Equipment: Conduct routine safety checks on plant and equipment, operate machinery safely, and maintain tools and materials.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients to arrange and complete work professionally.
  • Vehicle Management: Drive and maintain a company vehicle, adhering to company regulations.
  • Emergency Call-Outs: Participate in out-of-hours emergency call-outs on a rota basis.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Work efficiently to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.


  • What we are looking for;

  • Qualifications: City and Guilds Craft or NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade, or substantial relevant experience.
  • Driving Licence: Full driving licence with willingness to travel across the Northwest.
  • Experience: Proven experience working in a multidiscipline team environment with a track record of delivering quality work on time.

  • Skills:
  • Effective problem-solving and proactive work approach.
  • Collaborative and customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a demanding workload and work under pressure.
  • Proficient in using digital systems for job information.

  • Personal Characteristics:
  • Highly motivated, resilient, and flexible.
  • Trustworthy with high integrity.
  • Shares MSV values and understands confidentiality needs.

    This is a hands-on role at the heart of the service that MSV delivers to our customers, so your effective communication skills and ability to understand with empathy the diverse needs of our customers will be key. You’ll be based in the communities we serve and will work under minimum supervision and as part of a team using a flexible approach.
