Role Title: Senior Governance & Compliance Officer

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Salary: Up to £40K per annum (salary offered dependent on experience)

Location: Dartford, Kent (agile working, offering flexibility between office and home – Minimum 3 days in our Dartford office and when required for meetings)

Contract: 12 Month FTC (Maternity Cover)

We’re looking for a Senior Governance & Compliance Officer to play a key role in ensuring we uphold the highest standards of governance and compliance, working with the Board and Executives to make this happen. From supporting our Board and sub-committees to overseeing regulatory requirements and statutory filings, you’ll help maintain our strong governance framework while mentoring junior team members and ensuring best practices are followed across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing high quality support to Boards and Committee, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and action tracking
  • Providing a high standard of support to Board and Executive members in upholding good governance practices
  • Leading on compliance monitoring for key legislative areas, Money Laundering, Whistleblowing and Consumer Credit requirements
  • Managing statutory filings with Companies House, HMRC, and the FCA
  • Ensuring key governance documents, policies, and company registers are up to date and in line with our Code of Governance and our Regulators expectations

    What We’re Looking For
  • Strong governance expertise and an understanding of Codes of Governance
  • High attention to detail with excellent minute-taking and administrative skills
  • Experience working with regulatory frameworks, particularly in housing or the public sector
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word
  • Ability to work with discretion, professionalism, and a solutions-focused mindset
