Job Description
Come and make a difference at Karbon as a Scheme Coordinator

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual for the role of Scheme Coordinator, within our Supported Housing Team. Supporting customers to enable them to live independently in their own homes and give them the opportunities and tools to thrive

About the role
At Karbon we build, manage, and look after homes for people across the North. And then we go further, we give them the strong foundations they need to crack on with life. We want to build better lives for our customers, not just better homes. Everything we do is for their security, health, and happiness under their own roofs, in their communities and out there in the wider world.

Since our formation in 2017, we’ve been focused on delivering on our three strategic aims - to provide as many good quality homes as we can; to deliver excellent service to our customers; and to shape strong, sustainable places for our communities.

Our footprint covers the Northeast of England and Yorkshire, south from the Scottish border to almost as far as the Humber, where diverse communities face differing opportunities and challenges.

Scheme Coordinators are our front facing team providing residents with advice, support and enabling them to live well independently.  We aim to create desirable places where people can live well, feel safe and supported without isolation.

About you
We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual to undertake the post of Scheme Coordinator within the Supported Housing Team.

The ideal candidate will be a positive and enthusiastic individual who has previous experience of working in older persons services and dealing with individual support in an empathetic and compassionate way.

You will be responsible for daily contact with residents within your scheme and welcome new tenants ensuring they settle into their new home.

The successful applicant will ensure the health and safety of residents is our highest priority by ensuring all building related checks are carried out, any defects reported for repairs and maintenance to our Karbon Property Services team.  Due to the nature of the role, you’ll be able to respond to emergencies in a calm effective manner.

You’ll make a positive contribution to improve relationships and services through strong partnership working with social workers, care managers and voluntary agencies.

You will be an excellent communicator both written and verbally, with the ability to plan and prioritise your own workload.  This role will require IT skills such as composing and responding to emails, using Microsoft software like teams, record keeping and Health and safety checks on our in-house systems.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.

About our team
The successful candidate will work in our Supported Housing Team led by the Supported Housing Team Manager Elayne Bristow. If you require further information about the role, please contact Elayne Bristow by email Elayne.Bristow@karbonhomes.co.uk or Mobile 07930 842176.
