Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Independent Living Coordinator to join our Living Well Team area of the business here at Wythenshawe Community Housing Group. The Independent Living Coordinator will provide a range of effective independent living support services to customers enabling independence and positive health outcomes by delivering high quality support interventions. The successful candidate will be expected to provide structured support to customers who require it in an inclusive way within our sheltered schemes, learning disability schemes and locality wide.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong understanding of tenancy management, housing policies, and current legislation.
  • Experience delivering excellent customer service, casework, and housing management support in sheltered schemes, and managed agent properties.
  • Proven ability to engage tenants inclusively and support customer voice in decision-making.
  • Effective partnership working with statutory agencies, third-sector organisations, and health services.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and confidentiality protocols.
  • Good IT proficiency, record-keeping, and digital skills, including assistive technology for older persons.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive, adaptable, and solution-focused approach.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and value-for-money service delivery.
  • Full driving licence preferable.

    The role is offered on a permanent, full time, basis (35 hours per week). Due to the nature of the work, a flexible and adaptable approach to the working day is required.
