Role: Housing Apprentice
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £18,528 per annum in year 1, increasing to £18,694 in year 2
Contract: 2 years
Location: Mariner House – Dartford/Working from Home

We’re on the lookout for a Housing Apprentice to join our Customer Experience team here at Moat!

You will be undertaking placements across Moat that support the delivery of a range of housing management services including general needs housing, tenancy management and administration.

You will also complete a relevant qualification and functional skills in English and Maths as required.

Your role will include: 

  • Providing administrative support for the wider housing team including the Anti-Social Behaviour and Domestic Abuse Teams.

  • Helping to resolve or progress tenancy queries and neighbourhood issues from customers. Recording all contact on the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

  • Helping to cover Reception, being the first point of contact for visitors.

  • Accessing IT systems to collect and input information to generate correspondence, reports and associated documents.

  • Organising and planning work in a flexible manner to ensure tasks are prioritised and completed within agreed timescales.

  • Maintaining simple and effective electronic filing systems.

  • Undertaking projects on an ad hoc basis, producing reports and working to agreed deadlines.

  • Ensuring that all customers receive a professional, positive and customer focussed experience within agreed timescales and targets where appropriate.

  • Completing a Level 3 Housing and Property Management qualification and functional skills in English and Maths as required.


We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Maths and English GCSE grade C+ or 4+ or equivalent.

  • A can-do attitude.

  • Good time management skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively with others.

  • Access to transport.

  • Awareness of the key principles of good customer service.
