About the role  
We are seeking a talented marketing and communications professional to join our Resources Team. Our people are at the heart of our business, and we are looking for a candidate who is just as passionate about that as we are.  

Reporting to the Senior People and Resources Business Partner you will be part of a small multidisciplinary team that values your contributions and treats you as an integral part of the business from day one. We are looking for a creative individual who will support the business objectives of 54North Homes through achievement the following:  

• Delivering high-quality, cost-effective, customer-focused communications across all online and offline platforms 


• Developing, implementing, and maintaining the 54North Homes brand strategy and guidelines and acting as ‘brand guardian’ 


• Connecting our customers and stakeholders with our 54North Homes brand to demonstrate our vision, values, ambition, outcomes and impacts  


• Raising awareness and maintaining the profile of 54North Homes across key stakeholder groups 
 

• Proactive reputation management 


• Developing and delivering the annual Communications and Marketing plan. 


• Co-ordinating valuable and engaging content for all customer literature, monthly customer newsletters, the company website and social media feeds 


• Supporting teams/workstreams throughout the business with their communication requirements 


• Management of the marketing budget 


• Regular evaluation, measurement and reporting on communications activity 


• Working in collaboration with the Groups Communications Team
 

• Handling media relations: identifying salient opportunities in the media and sector to position 54North


• Homes as a ‘voice of authority’

You will be responsible for delivering the highest possible standard of Communications & Marketing services, support, and advice to your 54North Homes colleagues, identifying opportunities for improvement, providing guidance/training/ feedback to support service delivery.  

About you  

• You will be an accomplished and passionate Communications and Marketing Specialist with demonstrable experience of delivery of communication and marketing achievements. 


• You are an excellent communicator with strong influencing and collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire those around you and build effective relationships. 


• You are customer focused and confident in developing informative and engaging content. 


• You are a confident networker, developing relationships, both internally and externally, working in partnership with stakeholders to deliver excellence 


• You are a people-person and problem solver with a can-do attitude, able to grasp the root cause of issues, find solutions design improvement plans that everyone can buy into. 


• You’re great at working on multiple fronts, while instilling huge confidence in those you work with by managing these effectively.

Communications and Marketing Lead – permanent, 30hr to full-time role  

• Salary is £40,210 per annum (FTE) 


• Location:  Hybrid working available with a requirement to visit the offices and communities each week/ regularly. We have offices in Leeds (LS6 2TN) and York (YO32 9LG) where you will be required to attend a minimum of one to two days a week. 


• Regular travel will be required. 


• 30-37 hours per week  


• Generous benefits package including 26 days annual leave on commencement rising to 31 days (pro rata) after 3 years’ service, occupational pension, health cash plan, and birthday leave, with the option of a flexible pot towards enhanced benefits.
