What is an inclusive culture in the workplace? This module looks at the meaning, importance and impact of inclusion, as well as pyschological safety and how to contribute to an inclusive culture.

Being an Ally

This module comprises of two lessons:

Lesson 1: What does it mean to be an ally?

This lesson explores why allyship is so important to those who are in a minority, marginalised and disadvantaged, and how majorities can play a vital role in removing prejudice and discrimination through positive action. It also covers misconceptions about what it means to be an ally.

Lesson 2: How to be an ally?

This lesson explores the three stages of becoming an ally – listen and learn, self-reflect, support and advocate. It also provides insight into how to overcome the barriers to being a good ally

Creating an Environment of Trust

This module provides managers with the knowledge required to create an environment of trust in the workplace. Understanding the importance through tools such as the TRUST model, learners will recognise how to position themselves as trustworthy and how to implement non-judgemental listening.

How to get Comfortable with being Uncomfortable

This module looks at how we can break away from our comfort zone for the benefit of self-development and the support of others. It identifies why we get uncomfortable, and how to rise to the challenge of embracing something new.

Inclusive Recruitment in Housing

Traditional and familiar recruitment processes can often create barriers for potential applicants. This module highlights the benefits of fair recruitment to the individual, team and wider organisation, as well as best practice – from skill planning, writing job descriptions and advertising, to the application interview and selection processes.

Leading Remote or Hybrid Teams

Flexible working is more popular than ever, bringing new challenges for managers who are physically distanced from their team members. This module offers guidance on how to identify actions and strategies to lead a successful remote or hybrid team, from achieving individual objectives to creating a collaborative team culture.

Manager Tactics to build Resilience

This module offers guidance on how to develop emotional resilience in the workplace. The learner will explore different tactics to help build resilience, such as how to focus on what’s important, building an inner core of self-belief, understanding motivation as well as the significance of external support systems.

Supporting Others with Stress and Grief

What are stress and grief, and what causes them? This module identifies the key signs of emotional distress among colleagues and how to approach sensitive subjects in a professional manner. It is useful for both managers and non-managers who wish to support others in the workplace through practical actions.

The Power of Language

Designed for anyone who wishes to support others, this module looks at the language we use when we interact with people, providing guidance on how to respond in different circumstances. It identifies different styles of language, how to recognise good practice in language choices, and how to apply these depending on the situation.

Unconsious Bias and Decision Making

This module explores what is meant by unconcious bias through understanding of mental processes and recognition of the impact that personal and institutional bias can have in different situations. The learner will self-reflect on strategies to reduce unconcious bias by creating a personal action plan
